I tried a couple other sysex loader programs for updating my Alesis Micron. They worked fine for sending and receiving patches, as does sendsx, but when it came to updating the firmware, they all failed.
I don't know why this is. Alesis hasn't given me an answer yet, can't find help anywhere else. I've tried a number of things from only enabling the midi out, multiple delay times while sending, including 0, 50, 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000, and 10000; all with or without "split long sys ex messages"...
I'm using an extremely simple MIDI to USB cable, similar to the M-Audio Uno
I've successfully used this same cable and sendsx with my Roland MC-303...so I have no idea what's going on.
