One of my New Year’s resolution is to dig into MT Pro; those mysterious variables and all that. Some time ago, Steve posted a setting to increase velocity on incoming MIDI channel 1. The other night, I “cut and pasted” his programming. I didn’t quite know where to paste it at first. I didn’t understand what I was doing, but it worked! This encouraged me to decide that I need to really get into MT Pro. Once I hired Steve to do some custom programming. Normally the task is done through a $500 Roland midi foot controller. With Steve programming and MT Pro(or Bomebox) I can do the same task even with a used $20 midi foot controller.
At first, I was impressed and happy that MT Pro does one function for me that the Event Processor Plus just couldn’t do confirmed by the manufacturer; mapping multiple midi channels and turning the function on and off with a foot switch. I have a piece of hardware that could do it, but I have to use both hands to press certain notes on my midi controller and use my chin to press a button on the hardware all at once only to lose it all when power is off! I get cramps doing it! Talk about ridiculous midi acrobatic work! MT Pro does the job with such ease. However, Florian wrote the setting for me. Once I see the setting, it is such a basic and simple task for MT Pro. Then again, knowing how to write such settings is something else. Many users have said that it took them a long time to learn to use variables. I think a lot of us could use some tutorials showing how to use variables and write settings.
Florian, any news on the IOS version of MT Pro?
