Hi,
It is probably best to put your controller into Mackie MCU mode and do the same with Davinci Resolve. Most everything should work that way. With that said, the X-touch MINI doesn’t usually send fader touch messages so if your faders don’t move, let me know and I will see if I can dig up a project file that I created for another user to emulate that behavior.
Also, if I remember, the Xtouch MINI doesn’t actually have faders so we might need to modify some VPOTs to emulate fader behavior. Have you looked around the forum using Keywords “xtouch” or “Resolve”?

Attached is a template of what an X-touch MIDI send in its various modes. If you define one or two controls on it you want to use and in what mode and what you want it to control in Davinci resolve then I can assist further on this forum. If you want a complete solution, please reach out to me via email with your requirements and I will be happy to provide you an estimate. Again, I recommend that for the cleanest solution you set it up for MC mode and also set up Davinci Resolve to use Mackie MCU. If you don’t then you may still be able to do your custom mappings.

Thank you, i managed to set the xtouch in mc mode, i did not found how to do it in davinci.
What i would like to do is to map couple of sliders from the “camera raw” like “exposure”, “color temp”, etc to the cc and maybe more but, any ideea how to do that?
Thank you

Hmm, this might be a bit different. If Davinci Resolve does not accept MIDI for what you are trying, it might be better to map a button or fader to keystroke. What control do you want to use for input and what keystroke would Davinci resolve use to do it if you are using a computer keyboard? This should give me enough information that I could show you an example or you could look at this tutorial on MIDI to keystroke emulation.

This one might also be useful.

Although this is not with Davinci, some of the concepts used here can also be applied.

I just realized the X-touch MINI mapping I sent you was not correct in MC mode. I just fixed it and included the new project file here.

After testing, I found there were still a few errors in the file so use this one instead.

I replied via email but also posting here. This is an example of how you can emulate click and drag using a knob on your MIDI controller to move a virtual knob at a known given location on your screen. It entails 5 translator. The first one positions the cursor to the knob location. The second one does a click down 50msec later (for drag). The third one starts a timer to release the click after 1000msec (1 second). The 4th one does the actual mouse drag motion. The fifth one is the timer that fires to release the mouse click.
The main thing you would need to do is to set up the following:
I’m using global variables ga, gb and gc. If you add more knobs you would duplicate the existing translators, change the incoming CC and knob locations and use different global variables for the new set of translators.
Enjoy!

Hi, could you mark this issue as resolved so others can find it if they have a similar question? Thanks!

I just found out another interesting thing.
If you send a value of 1 on CC 127 to your X-touch on the global MIDI Channel, you can put it into MCU mode. Taking to a value of 0 puts it back in non-Mackie Mode.
The global channel can be set on the X-touch editor (default is MIDI channel 1).
This is a great find, as now you can remotely change the mode of your controller, thereby giving you more choices of what buttons and encoders send. Essentially it allow you to have 3 layers of controls natively on your controller.
Normal – A
Normal – B
MCU
To move from normal A to Normal B and visa versa, you first put your controller into Normal Mode and then use the values of the A and B buttons to move between the normal layers.
