Apple script errors

Apple scripts seem to not work now and only generate an error in the console log.  I killed prefs and reinstalled and still same problem.  I thought maybe my session file was corrupted so I started from scratch and still having the same issue.  The scripts I am using work in Apple Script editor and OSCulator so I know they are good.   These all worked fine and never had an issue with BOME until this week.  No upgrades had been done from the time it was working till it started failing.

Hi first make sure you have given permissions to Bome MT Pro. Maybe you did this in the past and somehow it got removed (by an automatic SW upgrade from Apple or some other reason.

See snapshot. If that doesn’t fix it, I will probably need to look at your project file.

Thank you for your response. Permissions where one of the first things I checked. Seems to be ok. I’ll send you my session file. Is thr a link I should send it to???

Side note: When I build a new session from scratch it works until I save and close bome. Then when I reopen it is when it starts giving me errors.

Just send via email with either the file as an attachment or a link.

Hi,
I just sent you email, it appears the when writing project files with Applescript, some extra characters are sometimes injected. I’ve opened a bug report on this.

Hey, could you be sure you have the latest version of MT Pro? I was able to create and save files with 1.8.3 build 892, although I was not able to run the project file you sent me. So maybe the problem you reported was fixed in the latest revision. I forgot to ask you what revision you were running.

It probably is not the issue since you said you haven\'t changed anything since it started failing but best to cover all of our bases here.

Hi, this is a duplicate of:
https://www.bomeloft.com/support/kb/outgoing-applescript-errors

The error message is shown although there is no error. So it’s safe to use Apple Script projects even though you see this error message upon loading.

The next version of MIDI Translator Pro will not show this error message anymore.

On closer inspection, there seems to be another bug happening here!
We’ve had the same error code -1708 when there are special characters (Unicode) in the Apple Script code.
The bug is fixed in a development version, we’ll contact you in the next days for testing it.

Best regards,
Florian

Hi, I just sent email to Florian. Check your email to ensure he has not already sent you a development fixed version.

So it’s been a week and I haven’t seen anything in my email. I’m still having the same issue as far as Apple scripts not working at all. Would really like to get this resolved. Thanks.
