Gamsir G5 Bluetooth

Hello,

I am attempting to use my Gamsir G5 with Midi Translator Pro.

I can't seem to get Midi Translator Pro to detect or see my Gamsir G5.

Anyone have tips for how to use bluetooth devices with Midi Translator Pro?

Hi Patrick,

Do you know if your controller sends keyboard and mouse messages? If so does it use the standard OS (operating system) keyboard and mouse drivers? If it does, then it should work however, if they created their own special driver for the device, then it Bome MIDI Translator Pro my not recognize it.  Bome MIDI translator goes to the host OS to interface keyboard and mouse actions. For input, only keyboard, serial and of course MIDI, is supported. For output, you add mouse movements and clicks.

According to the web site, the working platforms for this controller is only Android and iOS. Bome MIDI Translator Pro is for Windows and MacOS.

Hi Steve,

I can get it to work on OSX with the program “Controller Mate”.

If the Bluetooth device (Gamsir G5) isn’t showing up as a midi device via the OSX Audio Midi Setup, does that mean that Midi Translator Pro won’t see it?

It doesn’t appear to be a MIDI device but if it sends keystrokes, it might work. Does Controller Mate accept keystrokes?

No, not unless you can extend the game controller to look like a keyboard. I wrote a program called MIDIBuddy, that can convert some game controller input to various MIDI signals that MT Pro could then process. It is only for Windows PC, however.
