For controlling the DMX software Chamsys MagicQ via MIDI, there are a few options:
1) using MIDI ShowControl
2) using keystroke emulation
3) using mouse emulation
We at Bome Software don't have any experience with MagicQ. From this post "MIDI Show Control", we know that MagicQ can be controlled, in principle, via ShowControl, but we don't know for faders.
Other than that, probably mouse emulation is the best you can get. But then, any MIDI control surface with faders (or knobs or encoders) will work to control the faders in MagicQ.
Any info appreciated!

PS: we also look into directly accessing USB->DMX interfaces using the serial port support in MT Pro (and in the BomeBox).
