Two Triggers, One Parameter

Hi Everybody!

I'm a newbie who wants to get a jumpstart.

I'm trying to use MT to get Ableton Live to map two different keys to a
single parameter in the session view. I'm trying to do this so that I can mute/unmute instrument tracks from several places in my physical performance set-up. Why I need to do this is a long story, but that is the goal. Can you guys suggest the code that would be necessary to this?

Just to clarify, I want two different keys on my M-Audio controller to trigger the same mute/unmute function for a give track. The result would be if I press C1 on the controller, the bass track (for example) would mute and if I hit it again it would unmute. Similarly, if I press D1, on the controller the bass track would mute and if I hit it again it would unmute.

The folks at Ableton said I need MT to achieve this, so here I am.

I'm using an M-Audio 88es as the controller, Ableton Live 7.0, and a MacBook Pro.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

that`s not so hard I think. There is a several Ableton Presets installed with Midi Translator. Perhaps they can help you. One of them is very small and easy. It´s called "Ableton Live 6 control.bmtp" and has a small tutorial. This may be a quick start for you!
