Browsing Up & Down Using Fixed knob.

OK So I Have the Behringer DDM4000 mixer which I love but none of the endless knobs are midi assignable. I need to use a fixed knob (0-127) to browse up and down playlists that can get quite large.

My idea is do a repeating 'Up' or 'Down' key press if the knob is left or right of the straight up and down position with the repeat delay being shorter and shorter the more you turn the knob away from the centre. The result would be that the movement up or down the play list would accelorate the further the knob is from the 12 oclock position.

Does that make sense? Is this possible?

I don´t know if this is the correct idea. But you can try this via Rules.

Multiply the incoming value (0-127 = pp) with a factor and save it in a variable e.g. qq = pp * 2. Then start a timer qq times. With the timer you can trigger an outgoing keystroke.
