'Open used ports'

I'm not sure why I always have to do this. When I open a new project I always have to run this command to get some of my ports to start working. Is there a way to automate this on open?

I'm using the OSX Beta.

If you save a project with the ports open, they should automatically open when you open your project.

"Open used devices" under midi. I route a remote SL through Bome's to Ableton and it sometimes just doesn't realise it's connected until I fire that command.

Is it because of the order I'm loading things? Should I run Ableton first or Bomes?

Like said before, if you save your preset with the ports open, MT will load up with that preset and give you the option to open them on load. it's the way I have always done it...

You should run Bome's then Ableton, purely because Live will only see MIDI ports that are open/there when it initializes.
