Window focus / Ableton

Anyone have any decent technique for getting window focus in ableton. Currently I can send a keystroke translation to pull up any number of windows, but getting focus inside of the window ( i.e. browser or main ) seems to be a bit of a hack ( using mouse clicks, absolute positioning, and the like ).
