so that a incoming midi message b0 xx 127 could set variable ga(xx)=127

or a incoming midi message pp xx 127 could set variable ga(c, xx)=127 with c=pp&0x0f, when pp&0xf0 = 0x&b0

or something similar...

(found some bugs with beta 1.7.2beta, can I savely revert to v1.7.1 without losing project compatibility)

that's a good proposal, indeed we've already plans for that.

The .bmtp file format is 100% compatible between 1.7.1 and 1.7.2.
